Treasure Coast Marine Transport is owned and operated by Captain Jim George, a former Oceanographer and Nuclear-chemist who has been fishing and diving the Treasure Coast since 1974.   He has extensive knowledge of the waters of the Indian and St. Lucie rivers and the Abaco Islands including Grand Bahama Island.

Services include yacht delivery, water taxi, Indian and St. Lucie river sightseeing tours, offshore and river fishing trips, including the Bahamas. Two boats are available for hire with a captain.

– 21 Seabird, a runabout with a small cabin and a live well.

– 28 Bertram Sportfish with a flybridge, tower, livewell, cabin and galley, refrigerator/freezer and V-berth.

Jim came to Stuart, FL in 1974 to earn a degree in Oceanography from the Florida Institute of Technology.  Following graduation, he spent five years overseas as a marine electronic technician on an offshore oil exploration ship traveling to South America, Africa, Canada, the North Sea, Bermuda and the Gulf of Mexico.  Afterward, Jim returned to Stuart to work with the Evinrude Corporation improving engine reliability through troubleshooting and hours of testing on local waters.  Jim recently retired as a Nuclear-chemist to dedicate more time to Treasure Coast Marine Transport and spend more time on the water with his First Mate, LeAnn.  Captain Jim is a licensed Merchant Marine Captain who operates daily out of the historic downtown Stuart area.
